Rafa Benitez: Karim Benzema "will stay" at Real Madrid

Karim Benzema will be a Real Madrid player next season and has no reason to leave the club, manager Rafa Benitez claims.

Rafa Benitez has said that he is certain Karim Benzema will remain at Real Madrid this season.

Recent reports have linked Arsenal with a £46m move for the France international striker, but Benitez says that the 27-year-old has no reason to leave.

"He will stay with us, I can't see any reason why he would leave," the Real boss told reporters on Monday. "We are very happy with him."

Benzema has scored 133 goals in 281 appearances for Los Blancos since signing from Lyon in 2009, but is regularly linked with a move to Arsene Wenger's side.
