Bologna sign Matteo Brighi

Former Italy international Matteo Brighi completes a move to Serie A new boys Bologna.

Bologna have announced the signing of former Italy international Matteo Brighi.

The 34-year-old was released by Sassuolo earlier this summer, but he will now spend the next season with the newly-promoted club.

He previously enjoyed a spell at the Rossoblu during the 2001-02 season, while on loan from Juventus.

Brighi has won four caps for Italy, with his last appearance coming in 2009.
