Saturday's Championship predictions including Bournemouth vs. Sheffield United

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Saturday's Championship fixtures, including Bournemouth vs. Sheffield United.

Coventry vs. Fulham (Saturday, 12.30pm)

For the first time since April 1968, Coventry City and Fulham will meet in a league game when they do battle in the Championship at the Ricoh Arena on Saturday lunchtime.

The Sky Blues, who conceded five goals in midweek against Luton Town, currently sit one place and one point behind the Cottagers in third, who returned to winning ways against Swansea City last time out.

We say: Coventry City 1-2 Fulham

Robins will want an immediate response from his players following their heavy defeat in midweek, however Saturday's game against Fulham will arguably be their toughest encounter yet this season.

We feel that the visitors could secure a narrow victory to end Coventry's perfect start at the Ricoh Arena.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Bournemouth vs. Sheff Utd (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Two Championship promotion hopefuls who failed to claim maximum points in midweek do battle on Saturday, when Bournemouth welcome Sheffield United to the Vitality Stadium.

The Cherries have won each of their last three league games on home soil, while the Blades have claimed just four points from a possible 15 available on the road so far this season.

We say: Bournemouth 2-0 Sheffield United

This fixture at the Vitality Stadium does not usually see many goals, with the hosts having never scored more than twice while the visitors have found the net more than once on only one occasion.

Bournemouth have started the new campaign in much stronger fashion than Sheffield United and we can see the Cherries ending their poor record against the Blades this weekend with a narrow victory.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Barnsley vs. Millwall (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Millwall manager Gary Rowett pictured in February 2021© Reuters

Millwall will look to extend their league unbeaten run to seven games on Saturday, when they travel to take on Barnsley.

The visitors picked up a 1-0 win over Bristol City on Wednesday to climb to 14th spot in the Championship table, while their visitors were handed a second straight defeat, seeing their winless run stretch to eight outings.

We say: Barnsley 0-1 Millwall

Millwall find themselves in a stronger run than their hosts and thrive on their solid defensive foundations, potentially setting them up to leave Oakwell with a hard-fought win on Saturday.

If they are able to deal with the threat posed by the likes of Styles and Woodrow, the Lions will be able to attack Barnsley's struggling back line, and, with the return of Jed Wallace, they should have enough to seal all three points.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Birmingham vs. Nott'm Forest (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Nottingham Forest make the trip to face Birmingham City at St Andrew's on Saturday afternoon looking to extend their unbeaten Championship record to four matches.

While the visitors are on the up after the appointment of Steve Cooper, Blues head into this contest on the back of four games without a win.

We say: Birmingham City 1-2 Nottingham Forest

With Bowyer seemingly caught between formations at the moment, Forest will be confident of taking full advantage. Even with their first-choice frontmen potentially remaining out of the team, we expect the visitors to battle their way to all three points.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or draw.

Blackpool vs. Blackburn (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Blackpool play host to Blackburn Rovers on Saturday afternoon looking to extend their unbeaten run in the Championship to four matches.

Despite seeing their own undefeated streak come to an end in midweek, Rovers continue to hold a place in the playoffs.

We say: Blackpool 1-2 Blackburn Rovers

Given their improvements since the international break, Blackpool will be confident of accumulating more points from their North-West rivals. However, Rovers look the stronger in the final third, and that should make the difference at Bloomfield Road.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Cardiff vs. Reading (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Cardiff City will look to end a run of four consecutive defeats on Saturday, when they play host to Reading in Championship action.

The hosts come in on the back of two particularly heavy defeats at the hands of Blackburn Rovers and West Bromwich Albion, while their visitors also lost last time out after a run of three straight league wins.

We say: Cardiff City 0-2 Reading

Reading will be desperate to get back to winning ways, and they meet a Cardiff City side devoid of confidence, providing a great opportunity for them to quickly bounce back.

While they are hit with several injuries, Paunovic still has a strong starting XI at his disposal, and we see them outclassing the hosts.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Derby vs. Swansea (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Basement club Derby County will be looking to claim their second successive Championship victory when they welcome Swansea City to Pride Park on Saturday afternoon.

The visitors, meanwhile, are seeking just their third league victory of the campaign and their first on the road in three matches.

We say: Derby County 0-0 Swansea City

As Derby seek three points to close the gap on safety, Swansea will also be keen to win this weekend as they do not want to be dragged into the relegation zone with the Rams.

A closely-fought contest with little goalmouth action is set to be played out at Pride Park, and although a solitary point is not particularly beneficial for either team, we feel that they may have to share the spoils.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Hull City vs. Middlesbrough (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Middlesbrough manager Neil Warnock on September 11, 2021© Reuters

Middlesbrough make the trip to the KCOM Stadium on Saturday afternoon having returned to the top half of the Championship table with victory over Sheffield United.

Meanwhile, Hull head into this contest looking for the win which could take the club outside of the relegation zone for the first time in more than a month.

We say: Hull City 1-1 Middlesbrough

Warnock will demand that his Boro side kick on from their important victory in midweek. Nevertheless, consistency has been their problem all season, leading us to predict another spirited draw for Hull.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Luton vs. Huddersfield (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Luton Town and Huddersfield Town will be looking to claim their second successive Championship victories when they lock horns at Kenilworth Road on Saturday afternoon.

Both meetings between the two sides last season ended in 1-1 draws, with the Terriers rescuing a point on each occasion.

We say: Luton Town 2-2 Huddersfield Town

Spirits are high among the two camps after their impressive victories in midweek and both will be confident of claiming another three points this weekend.

Goals are to be expected at Kenilworth Road, but as there is little to separate both Luton and Huddersfield, an entertaining score draw could be on the cards.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Peterborough vs. Bristol City (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Peterborough United play host to Bristol City on Saturday afternoon looking for the victory which could move the club outside of the Championship relegation zone.

Meanwhile, the visitors have dropped back down to 10th position after seeing their five-match unbeaten streak come to an end in midweek.

We say: Peterborough United 2-1 Bristol City

Peterborough are starting to build some momentum, particularly at their home ground. Despite the Robins performing better away from Ashton Gate, that is not enough for us to back against a narrow win for Posh after a competitive tussle.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

QPR vs. Preston (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Having ended a run of three straight Championship defeats in midweek, Queens Park Rangers host Preston North End at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium on Saturday.

The visitors travel south on the back of five consecutive league draws, which have seen them sink to 15th place in the table ahead of the weekend's action.

We say: Queens Park Rangers 1-0 Preston North End

Having scored in each league game this term, QPR are set to continue that run on home soil, plus keep a second straight clean sheet into the bargain.

Meeting an often toothless Preston side, the hosts are capable of keeping the back door shut and can utilise a number of experienced attacking options at the other end.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.
