Real Madrid playmaker Kaka has targeted earning a spot in the Brazil squad ahead of next year's World Cup.
The former AC Milan midfielder has been in and out of the national side in recent times, but wasn't picked by manager Luiz Felipe Scolari to be a part of the successful Confederations Cup squad.
However, Kaka insists that he has been told that he still has a chance of playing in the tournament in 2014.
"Scolari said the door of the national team is still open," Kaka told reporters. "There is more than a year to go before the World Cup, and the season is just starting.
"From my heart, I hope I can be playing in the World Cup next year."
Kaka has 87 Brazil caps.
