Fulham will face Tottenham Hotspur in the EFL Cup second round, while Chelsea have been handed a tie with AFC Wimbledon.

London rivals Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur have been drawn to play each other in the second round of the EFL Cup.

Having failed to qualify for Europe, Spurs find themselves in the unfamiliar territory of having to enter this competition a round earlier than usual.

Ange Postecoglou would have been hoping for a routine tie, on paper at least, but Spurs will make the short trip across the capital to meet Fulham.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have been handed a home tie with League Two outfit AFC Wimbledon, who recorded one of the shocks of the round in defeating Coventry City on Wednesday night.

Nottingham Forest will play host to Burnley in another all-Premier League encounter, while Everton have been handed a trip to Doncaster Rovers.

Crystal Palace travel to the South coast to meet Championship newcomers Plymouth Argyle, with Bournemouth being handed a visit to Swansea City.

Wrexham's reward for seeing off Wigan Athletic on penalties is a home fixture against Bradford City, while Leeds United will travel to League Two outfit Salford City.

The ties are due to take place on either August 30 or August 31.
