Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain join Leighton Baines race

Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain show an interest in signing Everton defender Leighton Baines in the summer, according to reports.

Everton defender Leighton Baines is thought to have two new suitors in Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain as the race for the left-back hots up, according to The Independent.

Baines's future has been the subject of persistent speculation this season, with Manchester United continually linked with a bid for the England international.

The Toffees full-back is highly unlikely to leave in January but is thought be the subject of summer interest from PSG, with Carlo Ancelotti desperate to bolster his options in that position.

Chelsea have also reportedly shown an interest in the 28-year-old, with Ashley Cole ready to leave the club at the end of the season.

Baines has been in sparkling form this season, helping Everton maintain their challenge for Champions League football.
