Report: Chelsea lead race for Baba Rahman

Chelsea are reportedly at the front of the queue to sign Ghana defender Baba Rahman from Augsburg.

Chelsea are reportedly in pole position to sign Augsburg defender Baba Rahman.

The Ghana international has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge amid uncertainty over Filipe Luis's future with the Blues.

Serie A sides Juventus and Roma are also said to be chasing Rahman's signature, but it is thought that the 21-year-old would prefer a switch to the Premier League.

Chelsea will table an opening bid of £14m for Rahman this week, according to The Guardian.

The left-back joined Augsburg from SpVgg Greuther Furth in 2014 and made 31 appearances for the Bundesliga side last season.

Rahman has won 11 caps for Ghana.
