Sevilla sporting director Joaquin Caparros refuses to rule out a move for out-of-form Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata.

Sevilla sporting director Joaquin Caparros has hinted that the club are "working on" a deal to sign Alvaro Morata from Chelsea.

The Spanish side loaned Luis Muriel to Fiorentina earlier this week and are now looking to plug the gap left by the Colombian's exit.

Morata is one of a few names to have been linked with a switch to the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, having struggled to make much of an impact during his 18 months in the Premier League.

Chelsea are said to be willing to cut their losses with the 26-year-old, who has previously spent five years in La Liga with Real Madrid after emerging from the club's famed academy in 2010.

Asked by reporters if Sevilla are interested in bringing the out-of-form striker back to Spanish football, Caparros said: "We are working on many names. The important thing is that the player wants to come to Sevilla."

However, reports in Spain indicate that any deal hinges on Chelsea's ability to persuade AC Milan to cut short Gonzalo Higuain's loan spell from Juventus, with the Blues needing to replace Morata.
