Phil Jagielka has said that he is pleased to have played two full games for England during their recent friendlies.
The Everton defender returned to Roy Hodgson's side for the draws with the Republic of Ireland and Brazil, having missed England's four previous fixtures.
The 30-year-old told Everton's official website: "Getting to play two lots of 90 minutes definitely helped. I came here to play as many minutes as I could and thankfully I got two games and so did [Gary Cahill].
"It's always nice to try and strike up a partnership. We have not played that many games together.
"The two tests we have had have been completely different but they have been two great tests and hopefully we will go back now, start next season well and hopefully put up a good shout for next season."
England have a friendly with Scotland in August, before playing World Cup qualifiers against Moldova and Ukraine in September.
