Fulham duo Rodrigo Muniz and Andreas Pereira are reportedly in contention for call-ups to the Brazil national team.

Fulham duo Rodrigo Muniz and Andreas Pereira are reportedly in contention to be called up by Brazil boss Dorival Junior.

The 61-year-old is set to announce his first Brazil squad next week after being appointed as the national team head coach last month.

Brazil will face England at Wembley on March 23, before they go up against Spain at the Santiago Bernabeu, three days later.

Junior has already confirmed that he will be unable to call upon the injured quartet of Al-Hilal's Neymar, Liverpool's Alisson Becker, Brighton & Hove Albion's Joao Pedro and Wolverhampton Wanderers' Matheus Cunha.

With the Brazil boss currently weighing up his options, the Evening Standard are reporting that Muniz and Pereira are being considered for the two friendly fixtures.

The report claims that Junior visited Fulham's training ground on Thursday to observe the session and hold discussions with Muniz and Pereira.

Muniz is currently enjoying a fine run of form after scoring four goals in Fulham's last three Premier League matches.

Those efforts have helped Muniz retain his place in the side ahead of Armando Broja, who arrived on loan from Chelsea on the final day of the winter transfer window.

The 22-year-old is still waiting for his first call-up, having never previously played international football at any level.

Meanwhile, Pereira has been a regular fixture in the Fulham midfield this season, having started 22 of the club's 25 Premier League matches.

In total, the former Manchester United man has made 32 competitive appearances during the current campaign, chipping in with one goal and seven assists.

Pereira has earned just one senior cap for Brazil, featuring as a substitute in a friendly against El Salvador in December 2018.

Muniz and Pereira are both expected to be in the Fulham lineup for Saturday's meeting with Manchester United at Old Trafford.
