Diego Milito savours "extraordinary" return

Inter Milan striker Diego Milito shares his delight at scoring a brace in his first match since February, a 7-0 rout at Sassuolo.

Inter Milan striker Diego Milito has shared his delight at marking a comeback from injury with a brace at Sassuolo this afternoon.

Milito has been out with a knee ligament injury since February but returned for the Nerazzurri against Sassuolo, scoring a brace in a crushing 7-0 win over the newly-promoted side.

He told Sky Sport Italia: "This brace means a lot to me and I am very happy to be back, especially with two goals.

"We put in an extraordinary performance and this is a fantastic group. I have so many people to thank, including my family, children, teammates, Andrea Scanavino who helped my recuperation, Franco Combi and the other doctors.

"It's an extraordinary squad and we are doing things properly, so it's easier for me to return in a team like this. We are a new group with a new coach [Walter Mazzarri], so have a lot of work to do, but we are on the right track."

Mazzarri's men are unbeaten in Serie A so far this season, with three wins and a draw from their four league games.
