Leyton Orient sack Andy Hessenthaler

League Two outfit Leyton Orient announce that they have parted company with manager Andy Hessenthaler.

Leyton Orient have sacked manager Andy Hessenthaler with the club sitting 14th in League Two.

The decision comes after back-to-back defeats to Yeovil Town and Notts County and makes Hessenthaler the first managerial casualty in the English Football League this season.

In a statement on their website, Orient said: "The club can confirm that Andy Hessenthaler has been relieved of his role as first-team manager.

"We would like to thank Andy for his service to Leyton Orient since arriving in July 2015 and wish him well in his future career."

Assistant manager Andy Edwards will take charge of the club on an interim basis, beginning with Tuesday night's home encounter with league leaders Plymouth Argyle.
