'Absolutely unstoppable', 'What a monster' - Liverpool fans adored Jordan Henderson's display against Manchester City

Liverpool fans hail Jordan Henderson for his role in Sunday's 3-1 win over Manchester City in the Premier League.

Fabinho, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane scored the goals as Liverpool recorded a 3-1 win over Manchester City in Sunday's Premier League clash at Anfield.

Bernardo Silva threatened to make it an uncomfortable finish for the Reds, but the Citizens could not produce a late rally as Liverpool picked up a hugely important victory in front of their own supporters.

Jurgen Klopp's side are now eight points clear of second-placed Leicester City and third-placed Chelsea, while they sit nine clear of the reigning champions, who struggled defensively on Merseyside.

Jordan Henderson played a key role in the home side picking up the win, particularly considering that it was his cross that allowed Liverpool to score their third of the afternoon.

Indeed, the England international worked space on the right before delivering a sensational ball towards Mane, who simply could not miss the chance to head his team into a three-goal lead.

Henderson was replaced by James Milner just past the hour, but the Liverpool fans were absolutely delighted with what they saw from the 29-year-old on the afternoon.

The title race is far from over, although it is difficult to see Klopp's team dropping the points required for the likes of Leicester, Chelsea and City to pull themselves back into the argument.

The Liverpool supporters loved what they saw from their captain on Sunday, with many taking to social media to lavish praise on the midfielder for his contribution:

Henderson was definitely the man of the match for me, special mention to Gini also.
