A report claims that UEFA is planning to name Liverpool, Barcelona, Juventus, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain the champions of their respective divisions.

UEFA is reportedly planning to make all current league leaders the champions of their respective divisions should the season be cancelled due to the coronavirus crisis.

All of Europe's top competitions have been suspended indefinitely as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to claim lives across the world.

European governing body UEFA summoned each of its 55 federations to a meeting on Tuesday to discuss contingency plans, including what will happen if 2019-20 can no longer resume.

Spanish outlet Marca claims that one fundamental resolution is to officially name Liverpool, Barcelona, Juventus, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain as champions of their leagues.

However, an alternative suggestion is to delay Euro 2020 for 12 months and push back the end date of this season, meaning a fairer way of determining top spot in each division.

UEFA is expected to make a formal announcement on when Euro 2020 will take place - if at all - by the end of Tuesday.
