Agent: 'Martin Montoya still wants to leave Barcelona'

Reported Liverpool target Martin Montoya is still keen to leave Barcelona this month, according to his agent.

The agent of Martin Montoya has insisted that his client is still intent on leaving Barcelona during this month's transfer window.

Juan de Dios Carrasco confirmed back in December that the 23-year-old had grown frustrated at a lack of playing time at Camp Nou.

The defender has made four appearances since then, but he remains determined to move on to pastures new.

"Since we wrote to the club, Martin has played four times. This made us happy. We would rather he is on the pitch than on the bench or in the stands. But our idea is still the same and the player wants to leave," Carrasco told Cope.

"We are waiting for the club to select a new sporting director so we can speak with him and find the best possible solution."

Montoya has been linked to Liverpool and Juventus in recent weeks.
