Jesus Navas warns against complacency

Jesus Navas insists that Manchester City will not become complacent following a fine start to the new campaign.

Jesus Navas has claimed that it is crucial for Manchester City to not get carried away following an impressive start to the season.

Manuel Pellegrini's side made it nine points from three games by beating Everton 2-0 at the weekend, but Navas believes that it is crucial that the team do not pay attention to the current advantage they hold over their title rivals.

"There are a lot of games to be played," the Spanish winger told reporters. "We've only played three times, and we just need to focus on the following game, prepare well and then take game after game.

"The key is focusing on yourself and preparing well, [looking at] ourselves, not thinking about other teams dropping points."

City host Watford at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
