Rasmus Hojlund and Mason Mount return to Manchester United training ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Crystal Palace.

Rasmus Hojlund and Mason Mount have both returned to Manchester United training ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

The Red Devils have been without the services of Hojlund in the early stages of the season due to a hamstring problem which he suffered on his first pre-season appearance against Arsenal.

Hojlund, who represented Denmark at Euro 2024, was on the scoresheet in the early stages of the game with the Gunners, but he was later forced off the field due to a muscular issue.

The 21-year-old, who scored 16 times during his debut season at Old Trafford, missed out on a return against Southampton last weekend, with the match coming too soon.

Hojlund was also not involved against Barnsley in the EFL Cup on Tuesday evening, with the Dane watching on as his side advanced to the next round courtesy of a 7-0 success.

Hojlund, Mount return to Man United training

However, the striker trained with the main group on Wednesday, fuelling suggestions that he will be available for Saturday's Premier League game against Palace.

Mount, meanwhile, is also seemingly in contention to take on the Eagles, with the Englishman returning earlier than expected from the muscular issue that he suffered against Brighton & Hove Albion.

The former Chelsea playmaker was forced off the field at the interval of the game with Brighton on August 24, and he has missed the team's last three games in all competitions.

Neither Hojlund nor Mount are expected to start against Palace, but the pair could both be on the bench, as the Red Devils look to make it three straight wins in all competitions.

Which Man United players are currently out through injury?

Leny Yoro is yet to make his competitive debut for the Red Devils, as the summer arrival suffered a fractured metatarsal against Arsenal during pre-season.

The centre-back will not be available until November, while a return date for Tyrell Malacia has not yet been set, as the Dutchman continues his recovery from a serious knee injury.

Luke Shaw is in the latter stages of his recovery from a calf problem, and there is a slight chance that the left-back could also be in the squad against Southampton.

Victor Lindelof has also been absent this term due to a toe issue, and it remains to be seen whether the Sweden international is cleared to return to the squad for the trip to Palace, as he has dropped down the pecking order at the club following the summer transfer window.
