Morgan Schneiderlin "not happy" with start to Manchester United career

Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin concedes that his performances during his first season at Old Trafford have not been consistent enough.

Morgan Schneiderlin has admitted that he is disappointed with his first season as a Manchester United player.

While the team has struggled to match expectations, the former Southampton midfielder has also found it tough to live up to his £25m price tag.

Indeed, of United's last 13 matches in all competitions, Schneiderlin has featured in the starting lineup only six times.

With that in mind, the 26-year-old has expressed his dissatisfaction, although he has vowed to return stronger next term.

"I've done as the group has - some good and some less good matches. But it is sure that at Manchester United, everything is different. A good match in Southampton can be viewed as bad in Manchester," L'Equipe quotes Schneiderlin as saying.

"When I signed for Manchester, I wanted to play every game, be performing all the time, so I'm not totally satisfied. I'm not unhappy, I'm not happy, I'm in the middle. But this is my first year, I am confident that I will return very, very strong next season."

Schneiderlin has made 28 Premier League appearances for the Red Devils, from which he has scored one goal.
