Alexander Isak has reaffirmed his commitment to Newcastle United despite speculation linking him with a move away from St James' Park.

Isak has proven himself as one of the most consistent forwards in England over the past three seasons, scoring 41 goals in 67 league appearances.

The Swedish international delivered another standout performance for the Magpies last weekend, netting a hat-trick against Ipswich Town, which led his side to a 4-0 victory over the Tractor Boys.

Owing to his impressive form, the 25-year-old has garnered significant interest during his time at Newcastle and remains one of the most highly regarded strikers in Europe, fueling speculation about his future.

Juventus have enquired about the availability of Chelsea centre-back Axel Disasi in January, according to a report.

The 26-year-old joined Chelsea from Ligue 1 outfit Monaco in the summer of 2023 for a fee of £38.8m and became a regular starter under Mauricio Pochettino.

Disasi featured in 44 matches across all competitions last season, helping Chelsea achieve a top-six finish and secure a return to European football.

However, after missing pre-season this term, things have taken a different turn for the Frenchman under Enzo Maresca, as he has found regular playing time hard to come by.

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Ange Postecoglou has been talking team news and transfers ahead of Thursday's Premier League contest with Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.

The Lilywhites will square up to the Champions League-chasing Tricky Trees - thriving under the wing of ex-Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo - on the back of their unforgettable 6-3 loss to Liverpool on Sunday evening.

Having come out on the wrong end of that nine-goal spectacular, their third loss from their last four top-flight matches, Tottenham will be spending Christmas Day in the bottom half of the Premier League rankings in 11th place.

Spurs' slump has coincided with a selection crisis in defence in particular, as well as the absence of Rodrigo Bentancur, who was serving a seven-game suspension for an offensive comment he made over the summer about Son Heung-min and South Koreans.

Newcastle United are 'reluctantly' prepared to part ways with Sandro Tonali next summer in a move that could have major benefits for Manchester United and Chelsea.

The Italy international's St James' Park career is yet to truly ignite after he was banned for 10 months for betting offences right at the start of his Magpies journey.

Tonali has since become a fundamental part of Eddie Howe's squad, playing the full 90 in the weekend's 4-0 thrashing of Ipswich Town, but he is yet to become an undisputed starter.

Bruno Guimaraes, Joe Willock, Sean Longstaff, Joelinton and the fledgling Lewis Miley are all competing for minutes in Howe's midfield, and Tonali is already being linked with a return to his homeland.

Money matters: Could Ratcliffe force Ruben to play Rashford?

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim is apparently under no pressure to select Marcus Rashford after the forward's bombshell interview.

The 27-year-old has been left out of the Red Devils' last three matchday squads against Manchester City, Bournemouth and Tottenham Hotspur, with Amorim insisting on all three occasions that his choice was simply down to "selection".

It is believed that the new Red Devils boss has not been impressed with Rashford's application in training, but the saga took an unexpected twist earlier this month when Rashford admitted that he was seeking a "new challenge" elsewhere.

Amorim has publicly questioned the "choices" of Rashford's camp following his bombshell revelation to journalist Henry Winter, and the forward could try to engineer an exit from the club as early as January.

Liverpool forward Luis Diaz reportedly has no plans to leave the club despite being linked with a potential move to Barcelona.

The Catalan giants still hold an interest in the Colombia international after they were linked with his signature in the summer transfer window.

A recent report claimed that Diaz could look to leave Liverpool next summer following a lack of progress in contract negotiations.

The two parties have seemingly been in discussion over a new and improved deal to extend Diaz's stay beyond the end of his current contract which is set to expire in 2027.
