Aston Villa are reportedly interested in signing Borussia Dortmund attacker Donyell Malen during the January transfer window.
The Netherlands international has been a regular for BVB during the 2024-25 campaign, making 20 appearances in all competitions, scoring five goals and registering one assist in the process.
However, Malen is expected to be on the move during the winter market, with a number of clubs said to be interested.
According to the Daily Mail, Dortmund are willing to let the forward leave for around £25m, as he only has 18 months left to run on his contract with the German outfit.
Villa head coach Unai Emery is said to be a huge admirer of Malen and views him as a player capable of providing his attack with a boost in the middle of the 2024-25 campaign.
Malen has scored 39 goals and registered 20 assists in 131 appearances for Dortmund in all competitions, including a record of 30 goals and 16 assists in 93 appearances in the top flight of German football.

Como 'closing in' on Diao deal
Meanwhile, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Como are closing in on a deal for Real Betis attacker Assane Diao.
Once believed to be on the radar of a number of major clubs, including teams from the Premier League, Diao has scored twice and registered three assists in 19 appearances for Real Betis during the 2024-25 campaign.
Romano claims that the 19-year-old is now nearing a move to Como, with the Italian team's head coach Cesc Fabregas playing a major role in convincing the youngster to agree a deal.
Diao has scored six goals and registered three assists in 47 appearances for Real Betis in all competitions, including three goals and two assists in 28 outings in the top flight of Spanish football.
Como will allegedly pay in excess of €11m (£9.1m), and it has been suggested that the teenager's exit could open the door for the Spanish outfit to make a loan move for Manchester United attacker Antony.

Wolves 'interested' in Millwall defender
Elsewhere, Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly considering making a move for Millwall defender Japhet Tanganga during the January transfer window.
The 25-year-old has been in impressive form for Millwall during the 2024-25 campaign, scoring twice in 19 Championship appearances.
According to The Express, Wolves are weighing up an offer for Tanganga, having identified the ex-Tottenham Hotspur defender as one of the best talents in the second tier of English football.
The report claims that while Millwall are determined to keep hold of the centre-back, there is an agreement between the player and the club that interest from the Premier League will be discussed.
Leeds United and RB Leipzig are also said to be keen on Tanganga, who made 50 appearances for Tottenham before leaving the Premier League outfit in search of regular football.
The defender spent the second half of the 2023-24 campaign on loan at Millwall before joining the Lions on a permanent basis over the summer following his release from Tottenham.
