Rafael da Silva one of seven Manchester United players facing axe?

Rafael da Silva is reportedly one of seven players allowed to leave Manchester United this summer.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has reportedly told Rafael da Silva that he has no future at Old Trafford, along with six of his teammates.

An overhaul of the current squad is expected to be carried out this summer after a season which left the Red Devils seventh in the Premier League under former manager David Moyes.

According to the Daily Mail, Rafael could be shown the exit door by Van Gaal as the club searches for a new right-back, while Marouane Fellaini, Wilfried Zaha, Nani and youngster Will Keane have all been told by the Dutchman that the club are willing to listen to offers for them.

Javier Hernandez and Anderson are also said to be on the list of potential exits, while reports have claimed that midfielder Shinji Kagawa has a place at Old Trafford, but is behind Ander Herrera and Juan Mata in terms of priority.

Herrera and young left-back Luke Shaw are the only players to have joined the team this summer following Van Gaal's appointment in May.
