Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney reportedly denies handing in a transfer request to leave the Red Devils this summer.

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has denied that he has handed in a transfer request, according to a report.

The 27-year-old fears that he is being forced out of the club after former United boss Sir Alex Ferguson stated that the England international had asked to leave the Red Devils.

Rooney now believes that he will not be forgiven by the club's supporters and is expected to leave Old Trafford in the summer, according to The Mirror.

Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea have both been linked with moves for the striker, who scored 16 goals for United this season in 37 appearances in all competitions.
