Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will reportedly prioritise the signing of Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho ahead of Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish.

Manchester United head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would reportedly prefer to sign Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho ahead of Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish this summer.

The 21-year-old was pursued by the Red Devils last summer, but they could not tempt Dortmund to lower their £108m asking price of the England international.

United are set to invest heavily in their squad this summer, with a striker and a central defender high on their list of targets.

However, according to The Telegraph, Solskjaer had advised the club's hierarchy to prioritise the signing of Sancho.

Grealish is believed to be another player who United are monitoring, but Solskjaer will only look to sign the 25-year-old midfielder if a deal for Sancho fails to materialise.

Both Sancho and Grealish – who are set to be named in Gareth Southgate's England squad for Euro 2020 – have excelled during the 2020-21 campaign, with the Dortmund winger recording 16 goals and 21 assists in 38 appearances.

Meanwhile, Birmingham-born playmaker Grealish made 26 Premier League appearances for Villa, scoring six times and providing 12 assists.
