Ian Holloway blasts "annoying" refereeing decision

Millwall manager Ian Holloway says that Bolton Wanderers goalkeeper Andy Lonergan should have been sent off during the Lions' 1-0 defeat.

Ian Holloway has described referee Stuart Atwell's decision not to send off Bolton Wanderers goalkeeper Andy Lonergan as "very annoying".

The keeper brought down Lee Gregory in the box early in the second half of last night's Championship match at The Den, but the referee punished neither player for the clash.

The Millwall manager told Sky Sports News: "The biggest contentious issue of the whole game was very upsetting and very annoying.

"If that's not a foul then Gregory should have been booked for diving. It was clear to Bolton's bench, to be fair, they knew it should have been a penalty and down to 10 men, and that would have changed the complexion of the game.

"Do me a favour, book my man for diving or send their keeper off. Don't just play on!"

Millwall went on to lose 1-0, leaving them with defeats in their last three home matches.
