Steve Cotterill is confident that Nottingham Forest can begin to climb the Championship table following their 3-1 win at Ipswich today.

Steve Cotterill has backed his Nottingham Forest side to build on their 3-1 win at Ipswich Town this afternoon and start climbing the Championship table.

The Reds scored their first goal in seven games through Marcus Tudgay, who also netted another later on to add to Garath McCleary's strike, as Forest secured a league double over Town.

Now Cotterill is confident that the Trees can produce a good run of form which would see them move out of the relegation zone.

"We have had a problem getting the ball over the line, but our football has been fantastic. If we can go on a good run, we will comfortably get ourselves out of this," he said.

"I thought it was deserved today. We have probably played better and lost in the last few weeks, but there hasn't been a lot wrong and the goals we scored today were outstanding."

With the result, Forest moved level on points with Bristol City in 21st place, but remain in the bottom three due to an inferior goal difference.
