Port Vale defender Liam Chilvers signs a new one-year contract with the League One club.

Liam Chilvers will remain with Port Vale for at least one more season after penning a new contract with the League One club.

The 31-year-old, who made 21 appearances for the club last season, has admitted his 'delight' at penning terms on a new one-year deal.

"It has been good to eventually get it signed. I've been away on holiday and people have been away at the club, it's just been a case of getting us both together at the same time to do it. I'm delighted," he told the club's official website.

Port Vale were promoted from League Two last season.
