Marco Asensio planning Real Madrid stay

Real Madrid attacker Marco Asensio reveals that his "intention" is to remain at the Bernabeu for the 2015-16 campaign.

Spanish attacker Marco Asensio has revealed that his "intention" is to make his mark at Real Madrid during pre-season in a bid to secure a first-team spot for the Spanish giants.

The 20-year-old joined Real Madrid from Mallorca in 2014, but has still not represented Los Blancos after a loan spell at his former club and a season-long loan at Espanyol.

It is thought that Espanyol are keen on re-signing the Spain Under-21 international for the 2016-17 campaign, but Asensio has set out his plans for the new season.

"My intention is to have a good pre-season with Real Madrid and stay there," Asensio told reporters.

Asensio, who signed a six-year contract at Real Madrid in December 2014, scored four La Liga goals for Espanyol during his time in Barcelona.
