Real Madrid are reportedly interested in signing Inter Milan midfielder Nico Barella, as the Spanish giants prepare for life after both Toni Kroos and Luka Modric.
Barella has been in impressive form at club level in the early stages of the 2021-22 campaign, providing three assists in four appearances in all competitions.
The 24-year-old has a contract at San Siro until June 2024, but there has been speculation surrounding his future in recent months, with a number of clubs said to be interested in his services.
According to Fichajes, Real Madrid are considering a move for the Italy international, with Carlo Ancelotti's side keen to boost their midfield in 2022.
Eduardo Camavinga arrived at the Bernabeu from Rennes last month, but both Kroos and Modric appear to be entering the final stages of their time at the club.
Barella, who has scored seven times and registered 24 assists in 91 appearances for Inter in all competitions, helped Italy win this summer's European Championship and was also involved in their September World Cup qualification fixtures.
