Sevilla midfielder Hedwiges Maduro open to English move

Out-of-favour Sevilla midfielder Hedwiges Maduro reveals that he would be interested in moving to England in January.

Out-of-favour Sevilla midfielder Hedwiges Maduro has revealed that he would be interested in moving to England in January.

The 28-year-old has not featured for Sevilla this season, having been omitted from Los Rojiblancos' 25-man La Liga squad.

Maduro is keen to leave Estadio Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan in the New Year and he is open to offers from clubs in England, Germany and his native Holland.

"Ideally, I want to go to a country where the competition is at a high level," Maduro told Sport 1.

"Germany, England, but also I am open to the Netherlands. I won't say no in advance to a club from the Netherlands."

Maduro has been capped 22 times at senior international level.
