Southampton boss Ronald Koeman: 'We have to maintain our momentum'

Southampton boss Ronald Koeman calls on his team to ensure that they maintain their good run of form from before the international break in their clash against Stoke City.

Southampton boss Ronald Koeman has insisted that his side have to maintain their momentum in the Premier League.

The Saints are currently on a six-match unbeaten run in the top flight following back-to-back victories over Bournemouth and Sunderland before the two-week international break.

Koeman believes that his side cannot afford to break stride from their good form when they face Stoke City at St Mary's Stadium.

"That's always important, because then you continue after the international break what you did before the international break," Koeman told the club's official website.

"We play at home, we like to enjoy our fans and, of course, finally, we like to win the game.

"I'm very pleased [with how we are playing], but we have to wake up, because we can't live on what we did in the past. We have to look forward and be fit and concentrated on the match on Saturday."

Southampton face the Potters tomorrow.
