Inter Milan 'to offer Christian Eriksen to Arsenal for Granit Xhaka'

Inter Milan are reportedly preparing to offer Arsenal the chance to sign Christian Eriksen as part of a deal for Gunners midfielder Granit Xhaka.

Eriksen is widely expected to leave San Siro during the January transfer window, having struggled to make his mark for the Italian giants since arriving from Tottenham Hotspur in the early stages of 2020.

Arsenal have been mentioned as possible suitors for the Denmark international, and according to Tuttosport, Inter are lining up an offer involving Xhaka.

The report claims that the Serie A side had placed a £27m asking price on Eriksen but view a swap deal as an alternative as they look to move the playmaker on next month.

Xhaka has been a regular for his English club during the 2020-21 campaign, although the Switzerland international's performances have been criticised amid a difficult start for Mikel Arteta's team.

Eriksen, though, has only played six minutes of league football for Inter since the end of October.

Paul Pogba: 'I will continue to fight for Manchester United'

Paul Pogba has insisted that he "will always fight" for Manchester United and has branded the speculation surrounding his future "not important".

The 27-year-old's agent Mino Raiola recently claimed that his client's time at Old Trafford is "over" and urged the 20-time English champions to sell the France international in the next transfer window.

Pogba was named on the bench for the Champions League clash with RB Leipzig on Tuesday night but was back in the starting XI against Manchester City in the Premier League on Saturday and helped Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side pick up a point in the Manchester derby.

After the goalless draw, Pogba took to Instagram to address his future at United and has insisted that he will be committed to the cause for as long as he remains at the club.

Pogba is allegedly wanted by former club Juventus during the January transfer window, but the World Cup winner has a contract at Old Trafford until June 2022, and United are not thought to be prepared to reduce their asking price despite Raiola's recent comments.
