Defender Rico Henry has admitted that he is hoping to play his part in a successful promotion campaign with Walsall.
The Saddlers are currently sitting in second place in the League One table, and after penning a new three-year deal with the West Midlands outfit, Henry has revealed that he is already looking at testing himself at a higher level.
The 18-year-old is quoted by the Express & Star as saying: "I'm delighted to have signed. I feel I have been doing well and have managed to score goals.
"Signing this deal will be good for me, now I just want to keep playing well and get this team to where it wants to be - the Championship."
Henry has made a total of 21 appearances for Walsall, 11 of which have come since the start of the current campaign.
