Spanish police have reportedly revealed that the death of former Formula 1 test driver Maria de Villota was "natural".
The 33-year-old was found dead in a hotel room in Seville, where she was promoting her autobiography due to be released on Monday.
According to BBC Sport, a Spanish police spokeswoman has said: "We are assuming it was a natural death, but we cannot confirm anything."
The tragic news comes a year after De Villota lost her right eye and suffered head and facial injuries as a result of a crash before the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
