Jenson Button has spoken of his humiliation at being lapped during the Canadian Grand Prix.
The 32-year-old started 10th on the grid in Montreal but finished 16th, while McLaren teammate Lewis Hamilton took the chequered flag.
He said: "Being lapped by your teammate... he obviously won the race and did an amazing job, but it's a strange experience and more than being disappointed.
"It's difficult to understand why it happened. It's not like I made mistakes or crashed. I was just too slow and I finished 16th.
"[Sergio] Perez started in 15th and finished on the podium, and he lapped me. It's not like I had a bad start either, I was up to ninth, but there was no pace."
Button is currently eighth in the driver's championship table.
