Reports indicate that protestors are gearing up to cause disruptions during this weekend's Austrian Grand Prix.

According to the Austrian newspaper Kronen Zeitung, the Formula 1 event at the Red Bull Ring might face challenges due to climate activism. "Emergency services are not ruling out the possibility that climate activists could throw the plans into disarray," the report read.

In response, the race management at the Red Bull Ring is working closely with local police, fire departments, and even civil and national defense authorities to anticipate and manage any disturbances.

"The whole world is looking at the Murtal district this weekend," district administrator Nina Polzl mentioned.

"Our common goal is to prepare and support the running of Formula 1 as a major international sporting event in the best possible way. The safety of the visitors is our top priority."

Additionally, the newspaper revealed that undercover police officers will be on the ground, with aerial support from helicopter units.

Kronen Zeitung elaborated that, "Concepts that have been developed and refined over the past ten years are being put to use and can be adapted to the current situation."

"This could be particularly important this time, as climate activists have recently chosen various events for their protest actions."
