Brazilian pro Adilson da Silva has taken the clubhouse lead at the Africa Open by shooting a four-under 68 in the second round of the tournament.
The opening round was disrupted by delays due to bad weather, but following Da Silva's round of eight birdies and one eagle, the Brazilian was able to build on his campaign today by taking a three-shot lead.
South African Jaco Van Zyl looked poised to overtake Da Silva at the top by shooting eight birdies, but three bogeys on the front nine halted Van Zyl, who carded a five-under 67 today.
South Africans Darren Fitchardt and Oliver Bekker, as well as Englishman John Parry, are tied in third, six shots off the lead following the second round.
