American Billy Horschel has moved into a two-shot lead on day two of the Texas Open.
Horschel hit six birdies and two bogeys on Friday as a second consecutive round of 68 put him on eight-under.
Fellow countrymen Daniel Summerhays and Charley Hoffman are both on six-under with Australia's Steven Bowditch.
Meanwhile, Rory McIlroy recovered from his opening round of 72 to post a 67 as the Northern Irishman climbed up to five-under with six others.
Overnight leaders Matt Bettencourt and Peter Tomasulo both carded rounds of 73 to leave four shots off the pace.
