Jordan Spieth has claimed that Jason Day is the man to beat when the Deutsche Bank Championship gets underway on Friday.
Day has recorded three victories in his last four events and clinched the lead in the season-ending FedExCup standings by winning The Barclays by six shots last week.
Spieth lost the world number one ranking to Rory McIlroy after missing the cut at the tournament, and the American is fully aware who the player to beat is at TPC Boston.
"There's no doubt that Jason Day is the best player in the world right now," the Masters and US Open champion told reporters. "Who would argue that after last week?
"He's playing the best of anybody right now and until somebody dethrones him he's still the man to beat. I look forward to the three of us and some to keep pushing each other.
"I think we are all focused on our own goals. As one, two and three in the world we are the three that have to beat each other right now in order to get to the top or remain at the top."
Spieth and Day will play alongside Bubba Watson in the first two rounds.
