Tiger Woods has returned to the top of the world rankings following his victory in the Arnold Palmer Invitational tournament on Monday.
The American, who had a three-shot lead entering the final hole, has returned to the summit for the first time since October 2010 after holding off late pressure from Justin Rose.
"I play well here, that really is as simple as it gets. I am very pleased with the way I am playing," he told reporters following his win.
The 14-time major champion reclaimed his place at the summit with a closing card of 70, which secured his third win of 2013.
