Tiger Woods unconcerned by current form

Tiger Woods downplays the significance of his barren in recent majors.

Tiger Woods has insisted that he is not concerned by his current form as a 19th major championship win continues to elude him.

The American finished the US PGA Championship at four-over par, but was quick to point out that he has broken into the top 10 in nine of his last 18 majors.

"Is it concerning? No. As I've said, I've been there in half of them. So that's about right," Reuters quotes Woods as saying. "If you are going to be in there three-quarters or half of them with a chance to win on the back nine, you have just got to get it done."

Woods went on to say that being far off the pace at a major is more frustrating than narrowly missing out on a title.

"It's more frustrating not being in it. Having a chance on the back nine on Sunday, I can live with that," he added.

"It's always frustrating going out there, and I'm three-over today... and I'm grinding my tail off coming in just to shoot even par for the day. And I'm nowhere in it. That's tough.

"I'd much rather have it like at Augusta or at the British when I have a chance."

Woods has not recorded victory at a major since his US Open triumph in 2008.
