Bill Haas snatches Humana Challenge title

Bill Haas cards a final-round 67 to win the Humana Challenge for the second time in his career.

Bill Haas shot a final-round 67 to clinch a one-stroke victory at the Humana Challenge in La Quinta this morning.

The 32-year-old American grabbed four birdies and an impressive eagle at the sixth en route to what was his first PGA Tour win since June 2013.

Haas finished on 22-under-par for the tournament, one shot better than Charley Hoffman, Brendan Steele, Sung Joon Park, Steve Wheatcroft and Matt Kuchar in a five-way tie for second.

Webb Simpson, Boo Weekley and Justin Thomas finished up on 20-under, while Colt Knost, Francesco Molinari, Ryan Palmer and Erik Compton came fourth on 19-under in a fiercely competitive field.

Haas's first win on the Tour came in this competition back in 2010, when it was a five-round tournament.
