Thomas Bjorn, Shane Lowry hold four-shot lead at Wentworth

Thomas Bjorn and Shane Lowry open up a four-shot advantage over the rest of the field at the halfway stage of the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth.

Denmark's Thomas Bjorn and Ireland's Shane Lowry will start the third round of the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth with a four-shot lead.

Both Bjorn and Lowry failed to repeat their form from the opening round, but it was enough for the two Europeans to hold a clear advantage over the rest of the field.

Luke Donald recorded a five-under-par round of 67 to join Rafa Cabrera-Bello in third place, while Henrik Stenson and Rory McIlroy sit a shot further adrift in fifth position.

Pablo Larrazabal is one of five players who are six behind the leaders, while Lee Westwood, Ian Poulter and Jamie Donaldson will require a low round on Saturday to close their eight-shot deficit to Bjorn and Lowry.
