Great Britain remain on course for gold at Ice Hockey World Championships

Great Britain come from behind to beat South Korea 3-2 at the IIHF World Championships to top their group.

Great Britain fought back to beat South Korea 3-2 at the IIHF World Championships to boost their hopes of winning gold.

Park Woo-sang and Kim Ki-sung had given the top seeds a two-goal lead, but a goal from Robert Farmer and two strikes from Ben O'Connor saw Britain come from behind to claim the win.

The result means that Britain have climbed above the Koreans to the top of Division 1 Group B.

They will now face the Netherlands on Saturday and Lithuania on Sunday in their final two games, with the group winners earning promotion and a gold medal.

Britain's only previous gold medal in ice hockey came during the 1936 Winter Olympics.
