Former Aston Villa assistant manager Roy Keane reportedly confronted midfielder Tom Cleverley at his own home over claims of a bust-up which led to the Irishman's departure from the club.
The 43-year-old stepped down from his coaching position with the Villans last month following a five-month stint, citing the fact that he was unable to balance his duties alongside an identical role with the Republic of Ireland national squad.
Reports later emerged suggesting that Keane actually stood down due to his relationship with a number of senior players becoming strained, which led to a falling out in the dressing room.
The Sun now claims that the former Manchester United captain visited Cleverley's house earlier this week, repeatedly pressing the doorbell and waiting a full 15 minutes for the player to emerge.
It is believed that Keane felt Cleverley was responsible for the leaking of the story, although he now accepts that it was a misunderstanding.
