Former NBA star Lamar Odom reportedly suffers significant brain damage following his collapse at a Las Vegas brothel last month.

Former NBA star Lamar Odom has reportedly suffered significant brain damage after being found unconscious at a brothel in Las Vegas last month.

The 36-year-old, who has not played in the NBA since 2013, overdosed on cocaine during a three-day stay at the Love Ranch brothel in Nevada.

Odom's estranged wife Khloe Kardashian recently claimed that the sportsman's health was improving, but according to TMZ, the former Los Angeles Lakers player is having trouble recognising friends and family.

The report adds that Odom, who is still being treated at Cedars-Sinai hospital in LA, is only able to speak the odd word every now and again.
