Police called to Steven Gerrard's home after noisy Christmas party?

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard reportedly receives a visit from the police after a neighbour complains about "excessive noise" coming from his Christmas party.

Police were reportedly called to the home of Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard over the weekend due to "excessive noise" coming from his Christmas party.

The England skipper is believed to have been hosting a party at his Merseyside mansion, with the likes of comedian John Bishop and singer Rebecca Ferguson thought to be in attendance, when a neighbour phoned the police.

"We received a noise complaint in the early hours of Sunday," The Sun quotes a police spokesman as saying.

"Officers were called at about 2.20am by a member of the public regarding excessive noise coming from a property in Formby. A patrol attended and a person at the property was spoken to. No further police action was taken."

Police were previously called to Gerrard's home for the same reason during a party in January.
