Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has poked fun at his teammate Jordan Henderson for looking like a 'lady' in a match photo at Anfield.

Sturridge posted an image on Instagram of the pair celebrating after the 24-year-old netted the winner in last Sunday's 2-1 victory over Southampton.

Alongside the image, Sturridge wrote the message: "The face ladies make when they've not seen their best friend for yonks... 'Hey girl' queue the fake/awkward scream. Maybe a few jumps involved too... #hendo #mydawg."

Both players are expected to feature at the Etihad Stadium next Monday when Liverpool take on reigning champions Manchester City.
