Manchester United and England captain Wayne Rooney ditched a romantic setting and instead proposed to his now-wife Coleen at a petrol station.
The 29-year-old, who has two sons Kai, five, and two-year-old Klay with Coleen, has been married to his childhood sweetheart since June 2008.
During BBC documentary Wayne Rooney: Man Behind The Goals, the footballer's mother-in-law revealed that the United star popped the question to Coleen at a petrol station because he could not wait to get to the restaurant.
The couple are also said to have cancelled their dinner plans and instead shared corned beef hash at home.
