Manchester United striker Robin van Persie showed off footage of his impressive tee shot from the club's annual charity golf day.

The Dutchman was joined by a number of his teammates, including Wayne Rooney, Juan Mata and Phil Jones, as well as manager Louis van Gaal, for the event this week.

In the video, which Van Persie posted to Facebook, the striker took his shot and then turned around screaming, "hole in one!".

It's unclear if the former Arsenal captain actually did score a hole in one, but the 31-year-old appeared more than happy with his effort.

The Manchester United Foundation organised the golf event, which last year raised £20,000.
