Former NFL star Aaron Hernandez has been involved in an altercation in prison, according to reports.
The former New England Patriots tight end is currently housed in a segregated unit at the Bristol County House of Corrections having pleaded not guilty to murder following the death of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd.
Bristol County Sheriff Thomas Hodgson told WJAR-TV that the 24-year-old had been in an altercation with another inmate.
Both Hernandez and the other inmate are now reportedly part of an internal investigation into the incident, although Hodgson could not provide any further detail.
Hernandez denies killing Lloyd, who was dating the sister of his fiancee at the time of the alleged incident.
